Zuiho Ito
Director and Lecturer
In order to pass on Sanda ware (Sanda celadon) to the future, I am working hard as an artist while also training instructors and successors.
Career
Born in Nishio City, Aichi Prefecture in 1963
1986 - Graduated from Kyoto City University of Arts, Ceramics Department
1987 - Completed Manufacturing Course at Aichi Prefectural Ceramic Technology Institute
1988 - Relocated to Sanda City, Hyogo Prefecture / Began pottery work at Sanda-yaki kiln
1994 - Established independent kiln in the city / Adopted pottery name "Zuiho"
1994 - Appointed as instructor at Sanda Municipal Ceramic Art Museum
1999 - Participated in Sanda-yaki research project by Sanda City Board of Education
2001 - Participated in basic research and historical documentation project on Sanda-yaki pottery by Sanda City Board of Education
2003 - Appointed as Sanda-yaki traditional technique instructor at Sanda Municipal Myojin Kiln
2023 - Appointed as Director of Sanda Togei no Mori

2005 - Graduated from the Department of Life Design at Sozosha Design College
2008 - Studied pottery in Ishigaki Island, Okinawa
2016 - Graduated from Bizen Ceramic Art Center
2016 - Received guidance from Kawabata Fumio
2018 - Traditional Crafts Exhibition, Chugoku Branch, Selected
